Emilie Hofacker has served as the UW Posse Director for the last 3 years and has been working with Posse for the last 10+ years in a variety of positions including the NY 1 STEM Posse Mentor, NY 3 STEM Posse Mentor and the Director of the Office of STEM Initiatives (OSI) within the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement (DDEEA) at UW-Madison. Emilie has been dedicated to mentoring and working with students at UW-Madison for the past 15 years. She loves working withPosse andis a proud Badger. She holds her M.S. Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with a focus on Student Affairs, M.S. Curriculum and Instructionwith an emphasis on Multicultural and Science Education, bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Communication Arts, and is currently finishing herPhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. All at UW-Madison! Her graduate research focuses on historically underrepresented populations inSTEM fields and examines persistence and retention of undergraduate students pursuing STEM degreesand their transition into the workforce. Emilie has a love for music, and in her free time she loves to travel, cook, read and visit contemporary art museums
